Multimatic is a Tier 1 full service automotive supplier. In my second term at the company I worked on the Structures design team. I helped develop primary body structures, instrument panels, and impact structures during my time on the team. Some achievements were: 

Development of a roll-formed rocker panel with specific crash energy absorption requirements for an EV in development: 

• Initial sizing calculations 

• Modelling and first-principles evaluation of initial concepts 

• FEA setup for pole-intrusion tests 

Modelled a variety of hot blow-formed components, gaining lots of time in both NX and CATIA. Use of advanced surfacing techniques in both.

Release of 10s of drawings, all using GD&T to company standard. Plenty of individual components, weld & assembly DWGs. Correction of tolerance stackups and part rework in a variety of welded sheet metal assemblies
