During my first term at Multimatic I worked in the testing department. My team was responsible for lifetime testing for a variety of suspension components and active mechanisms. Some things I did during my time here are: 

• Setup, PID tuning and operation of MTS hydraulic actuator system to test control arms and spring links to design loads 

• Damper characterization testing 

• 4-post testing  

• Power door linkage durability and environmental testing 

• Bushing press-out testing 

This internship allowed me to get my hands dirty and work with extremely powerful hydraulic equipment. Being able to familiarize myself with damper and 4-post tuning was my favourite takeaway from this experience – my interest in suspension design in some part due to my time here.
